The Atlas Economic Research Foundation has come up with an interesting list of the top ten pro-liberty books of the past decade. Of the ten, I have read, Bryan Caplan’s Myth of the Rational Voter, and I highly recommend it.
The recent thwarted terrorist attack on an airliner has made security precautions a hot topic. Robert Poole of the Reason Foundation says government has to get serious about combating terrorism which means focusing more on people than on baggage. David Frum says much the same thing. Meanwhile, this 2003 essay from the Freeman reminds us that sometimes too much bureaucracy can also be a danger.
